What a year it’s been! This month marks the first year since we officially opened our virtual doors to cool and fashionable moms and their mini-me’s. We feel so fortunate to have received such a warm reception since day one and want to say “Thank You!” to all of our super fabulous friends, family and last but not least, Plum shoppers!

As we embark on another spectacular year, we are excited to debut a handful of fun new features and brands. By popular demand, we are expanding our boutique to infantwear & accessories and apparel for boys! As soon as next month, we will be carrying new brands like Rockin’ Baby Sling, Small Paul by Paul Frank, Appaman, Joe’s Jeans and C&C California, just to name a few. Also, we will be adding some cool new features to the site such as free screensavers and other media downloads. Check back soon!

2.  We are so excited to be debuting our new and improved site very soon.  We here at Plum Denim have been working day and night (and night and day) to make sure our site is the best children’s boutique and kids lifestyle source out there.  Our new site will make it even easier to shop all your favorite brands and will have even more features to enjoy.

Even though it has been 6 years since the attacks on the World Trade Center, Americans still come together to remember and honor those that lost their lives that fateful day.  What we remember most about that day and the days and months following was the outpouring of support from everyone across the nation and around the world. 

My Good Deed is a wonderful site created by a man who lost his brother on 9/11.  To honor his brother, he decided to turn 9/11 into a day of service, charity and good deeds.  On the site, people pledge their good deeds…something as simple as “saying thank you” or “donating a day’s pay to 5 homeless people.”  In addition to pledging a good deed, you can search for volunteer opportunities in your area and donate to a charity of your choosing. 

We at Plum Denim are committed to making a a difference in this world…one sale at a time.  Beginning soon, we will be selecting different charities and organizations that are near and dear to our hearts and donating a percentage of our sales to them.  Check back soon!

We are so excited to launch Plum Denim Shop, a brand new online boutique for girls age 2-12 years. Our style is a bit vintage, a bit old school, but always 100% fashion forward. We proudly carry premium brands such as Harajuku Lovers, Fresh Karma, Inky Dink and 575 Denim. However, our shop celebrates children’s individuality and creative spirits, so we also make great efforts to find and share smaller, “indie” lines that stand out from the rest. Ismodern, Edenstar, Gama-Go and Rafia Jewelry are some of our treasured finds and we hope you love them too!

The “Plum Daily” is our way of keeping our customers and readers updated on the latest trends and looks as well as new product arrivals and sales. Tip of the Day: It’s the start of plum season so make sure to stock up on this refreshing summer fruit. Here are a few tips on picking the perfect plum: (1) Choose plums that are firm and plum. (2) If it doesn’t have a fruit fragrance, don’t buy it. (3) A ripe plum is tart, sweet & juicy and will give to a gentle squeeze. (4) Make sure to stock up because plum season only lasts until October!
